<image:caption>Foundation Announces 2024 Giving The continued generosity of dedicated donors, many of whom participated in our 2024 annual golf tournament and dinner/auction fundraising event, resulted in a highly successful year of giving for the Caitlin Robb Foundation. The event net proceeds, combined with donations unrelated to the event, allowed the Caitlin Robb Foundation to make $72,260 in gifts in 2024. In addition, the Foundation has over $17,000 on-hand at 2024 year end, earmarked for potential new beneficiaries in 2025. Gifts made in 2024 are as follows: $50,000 to Arizona State University Courage Lab to sustain, enhance and perpetuate efforts to mitigate adverse psychosocial reactions (e.g. heightened anxiety and related conditions) in families caring for a child who experiences the emotional upheaval of life limiting conditions, pediatric cancer and/or sibling death. Dr. Armando Pina, an Associate Professor in ASU’s Department of Psychology, and the Lab’s Principal Scientist, has outlined a three-step approach that builds logically from an initial feasibility demonstration study to a $600,000 NCI grant application. The NCI proposal will generate data to estimate the feasibility, acceptability, and clinical benefits of RISAS (Resilience Intervention during Survivorship for Anxiety Symptoms) through a controlled study. Foundation Gifts to the Courage Lab to date now total $170,000 and total gifts to ASU now total $307,000. $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona (RMHCAZ) to support the Keeping Families Together Program across all Houses and the Adopt-A-Room Program at the Roanoke House. According to RMHCAZ, at $132 per night, the support of the Foundation will underwrite 76 nights of rest for families coming to the Phoenix area seeking life-saving medical care for their children diagnosed with cancer. This gift also dedicates a guest room recognizing the Caitlin Robb Foundation for one year at the Roanoke House through our Adopt-A-Room Program. Foundation gifts to RMHC since our inception total $166,000 of which $114,000 was contributed to RMHCAZ and $52,000 to the Wilmington, Delaware House. $10,000 to Tu Nidito to support the Pathways and Angels On Your Side Programs. The Pathways program, at no cost to those served, provides individualized home, hospital and community-based support to children who are diagnosed with a serious medical condition and their families. The Angels On Your Side program supports families with personalized services when end-of-life care is needed. Foundation gifts to Tu Nidito since our inception total $106,500. $2,260 for Direct Patient and Family assistance. The Caitlin Robb Foundation works with hospital social workers and social service organizations to provide financial help with day-to-day living expenses (e.g. travel, rent, mortgage, utilities) to help ease the financial burden to families that a pediatric cancer diagnosis often causes. Patient and Family assistance grants since our inception total $139,948.</image:caption>
